Thomas B. Halligan, Senior Partner specialises in litigation matters including personal injury litigation, family law, debt recovery and employment law and is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and the Family Lawyers Association. Tom is originally from County Longford and is a graduate from University College Dublin where he obtained a Bachelor of Civil Law degree. He has been involved with the practice for all of his working life having joined on qualification in 1980. He became a Partner in 1982.

Niall Gaffney, Partner, is a graduate of University College Dublin where he obtained a Bachelor of Civil Law degree in 2000. He qualified as a Solicitor in 2005, becoming a Partner in Gaffney Halligan & Company in 2008. Niall specialises in all aspects of Residential and Commercial Property and Civil Litigation. Niall is originally from Cavan and has been involved with the practice since 2001.

Lorna Shannon, Solicitor, qualified as a Solicitor in 1996. Prior to that she trained as a nurse and worked as a public health nurse in the Dublin area for a number of years, returning to UCD to study at night and obtained a B.A. Degree in 1991. Lorna specialises in Wills, Estates Administration, Probate and Conveyance matters. Lorna is based full-time in our Raheny office and is a native of County Louth.

Catherine Keane qualified as a solicitor in January 2008. Catherine specialises in Litigation, mainly Employment Law, Family Law, Personal Injury and Debt Recovery. Catherine is based in our Dundrum office. Originally from County Galway, Catherine is a graduate of University College Dublin where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Politics; she also holds a Masters degree in Public Relations and a Diploma in Employment Law. Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, she worked for a number of years in Dail Eireann as a policy researcher and in the European Parliament in Brussels as a Parliamentary Adviser.

Noel Reilly is a graduate of the University of Limerick where he obtained a Bachelor of Laws in Law and European Studies degree in 2005. He qualified as a Solicitor in January 2009, having done his apprenticeship with the firm prior to this. Noel specialises in litigation mainly family law and civil and criminal matters. Noel has lived and worked on the continent and is a fluent German speaker, he is originally from County Longford.

Noel Gaffney, Senior Legal Executive

Noel Gaffney, Senior Legal Executive, joined the firm in 2000 having spent upwards of twenty eight years working in Local Government as Chief Clerk of the Legal Department of Dublin City Council, and also for a number of years with Dublin County Council and the Revenue Commissioners, Legal Department. Noel specialises in domestic conveyancing, debt recovery and matters relating to Local Government Law and procedures. He has a wide and varied experience from his time with the City Council and County Council.
